The S1C33 family is Epson's original 32-bit RISC CPU. The product incorporates the peripheral functions; rapid DMA, multichannel SIO, programmable timer, PLL and prescaler. Featuring fast operation and extremely low power consumption this family suits to the OA equipment such as printers and the portable equipment, like PDAs, cellular phones, and toys. In addition, as this family incorporates an A/D converter and PWM timer, it can realize the digital signal processing such as voice processing by single chip when the middleware is combined to.
