This image enhancement IC contains Epson’s original technology and is designed for use with small- and medium-sized LCDs. By using Epson’s AME2EX (Auto Movie Enhancement 2 Extended), which was based on the image enhancement technology developed for display controllers used in mobile phones, the new IC achieves both energy savings and vivid color expression for LCD panels.
